Edis J Head, born Oct. 25, 1932 in Gainesboro, TN, Son of Quarles and Mai Spivey Head.
He was married to Bonnie Jean Smallwood on Jan. 3, 1956. He had two daughters: Cathay Flatt and Delma Hopkins; and four grandchildren: Jason Flatt, Lyndsey Flatt, Ryan Hopkins and Chanse Hopkins. He had one daughter in law: Kaylia Spivey Hopkins. He had one Great Grand-Daughter: Kambree Morgan Hopkins. He also had four brothers: Curtis Head, Joe Head, Willard Head and Dwane Head; and three sisters: Ruby Trisdale, Louise Spivey and Judy McDowell. Edis passed away on Sept. 4, 2021, he was buried in the John L Clark Cemetery. Heads photo and story is being placed in Veteran’s Memorial Hall by his Daughter Delma Hopkins.
