NEW LOCATION - An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on June 25 for the new location of the Jackson County Election Commission office. The election commission office was previously housed within the Jackson County Courthouse. Early voting for the Aug. 1 state/federal primary and state/county general elections begins July 12 and voters will cast an early ballot at the new office location at 238 N. Grundy Quarles Hwy., Suite A, Gainesboro, TN 38562. Today (July 2) is the deadline to register to vote for the Aug. 1 election. Call 931-268-9284 for more information.
