Granville Welcomes New Museum

Historic Granville Heritage Day celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Purity Dairy on May 24, Granville is now the home of the Purity Dairy Museum. In celebration of this Jay Frankenfield Granville potter created a 100th Anniversary Milk Pitcher. Commissioner of Tourism and former CE0/Owner of Purity presents a Purity Dairy Cap worn by one of the original drivers of the Purity Milk truck. David Brooks has given a milk bottle collection to the museum. Pictured at celebration Jackson County Mayor Jim Morgan, Shan Stout Putnam County Director of Tourism, Randall Clemons President Granville Museum, Mark Ezell Commissioner of Tourism and David Brooks, co-owner of Ligon Bobo Funeral Home. The museum is part of Granville’s Farm to Table Museum open Wednesday thru Saturday.
