Jerry Short is the Veterans Service Officer for Jackson and Clay Counties. His office is located in the UCHRA building 744 School Drive in Gainesboro. Jerry will be in Clay County on Mondays and Tuesday and in Jackson County on Wednesday and Thursdays. The job of the Veteran Service Officer is to help the over 800 Veterans in Jackson County with issues the Veterans have concerning benefits, helping spouses of Veterans who have passed away and aiding dependents of Veterans concerning educational benefits.
