Mulch Issues Plague the Park

During the December town hall meeting the aldermen discussed the mulch issue at the Gainesboro city park. The council discussed the upkeep cost of traditional mulch versus the upfront cost of rubber mulch and decided to get estimates for the price of rubber mulch to see if the price would be better in the long run. 

The city police said there will now be a closed sign on the basketball court starting at 9:00pm. There will also be a new security camera at the basketball court to deter vandalism. 

The police department got the ok to payout any unused vacation time to their staff and will start researching prices for a new bullet proof vest. 

The council voted to go with the lowest bid of the Sewer department new telemetry system so they will now get informed when there is an issue with the system.

The council decided to research costs and get estimates for sidewalk repair, a commercial leaf vacuum and repair the wall next to Timeless Events. The council discussed researching the best ground covering on Union Hill. 

Finally, the council discussed enforcing city ordinances starting in January with a focus on the Junk Yard Ordinance.
