Mary Dudney Crowder 

Mary Frances Dudney Crowder was born February 20, 1927, in Carthage, Tennessee and she passed from this life on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN.  She was 97 years old.

She was the daughter of Jess Hackett and Minerva Cowan Hackett.  She married Charles Clark Dudney of Whitleyville, TN and they started a family.  After his passing, she later married Audney Crowder of Jackson County, TN.   She worked for over 45 years in the banking industry.  She was a member of the Whitleyville Church of Christ in Whitleyville, TN, while living in Jackson County, TN.  After moving to Hermitage, TN, she became a member of the Old Hickory Church of Christ in Old Hickory, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Charles Clark Dudney of Whitleyville, TN and Audney Crowder of Jackson County, TN; brother: Jess Hackett of Carthage, TN; sister: Ruth Piper of Old Hickory, TN; granddaughter: Lauren Paige Dudney Harshaw of Oklahoma City, OK.

Survivors include her son: John (Dianne) Hackett Dudney of Franklin, TN; sister: Joann (David) Smith of St. Pete, FL; grandson: Johnathan (Lydia) Taylor Dudney of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren: Reese and Heath Dudney.  Many other friends and relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 1 pm at the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. Visitation was held from 5 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.  Bro. Duane Gossett will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations for the Whitleyville Church of Christ in Whitleyville, TN, or the charity of the donor's choice. Donations may be made by contacting the business office of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.

Mack Greenwood 

Mack Odell Greenwood was born November 8, 1948, in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 75.

He was the son of Oplis and Olene Barlow Greenwood.  Mr. Mack was a member of the Poston Chapel Presbyterian Church and a former member of the UAW.  He worked for Dacco Manufacturing in Cookeville for 31 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bobby Greenwood, Hugh Greenwood and Jimmy Greenwood.

Survivors include his son, Jason (Tammy Jo) Greenwood of Buffalo Valley, TN; brothers, George (Pat) Greenwood of Clarksville and Charles (Doris) Greenwood of Lebanon; sister, Mary Heady of Cookeville and grandson, Dalton Hunter.

Visitation was on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, 4 pm to 8 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, 9 am to 11 am.  Funeral Services were conducted on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 11 am in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Burial followed in Lynn Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Lynn Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.

Tony Wilmoth 

Tony Ray Wilmoth was born September 21, 1965, in Nashville, TN and he passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 58.

He was the son of the late James Edward Wilmoth and Gladys Juanita Stafford Hunter. He was married to the late Marilyn Knoles Wilmoth. He worked as an auto dealer, and was a resident of Cookeville, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marilyn Knoles Wilmoth and brother, Jimmy Wilmoth.

Survivors include his brothers: Jeff Wilmoth of Gainesboro, TN and James Wilmoth of Nashville, TN; Sisters: Kathy Wilmoth and Carolyn Phillips, both of Cookeville, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Bryant officiating. Burial followed in the Pharris Cemetery. The family received friends on Tuesday from 8:30 A.M. until time of services at 2 P.M.

Memorial donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.

Jennie Sue Anderson Stout 

Jennie Sue Anderson Stout was born November 16, 1926, in Granville, Tennessee and she passed from this life on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Waters of Gainesboro in Jackson County, TN.  She was 97 years old.

She was the daughter of Lloyd White Anderson and Maranda Bethel Anderson.  She married H.J. Stout on April 14, 1944. They were married for over 66 years prior to his passing on May 25, 2010. She was a dental assistant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: H.J. Stout; brothers: Preston and Frank Anderson; sister: Janie Smith.

Survivors include her daughters: Celia (Dale) Smith and Brenda (James) Hawkins both of Gainesboro, TN, and Pamela (Jack) Russell of Nashville, TN; sister: Frances Hall of Gainesboro, TN, granddaughters: Heather (Dale) Officer and Emily (Garry) Davidson; grandsons: Michael (Karen) Smith, James (Shannon) Hawkins, Tyler (Christa) Smith, and John (Kayla) Hawkins. 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Many other friends and relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN.  Visitation was held from 4 pm until 8 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024, and again on Monday 11 am until time of services at 2 pm.  Burial followed at the Richmond Cemetery. Bro. Mike Fox and Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiated.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations for the Richmond Cemetery or charity of donor's choice.  Donations may be made by contacting the business office of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home at 931- 268-1550.

Daniel Gibbs 

Daniel Gregory Gibbs was born July 8, 1960, in Atlanta, GA, and he passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at his residence in Jackson County at the age of 63.

He was the son of Homer Dennis Gibbs, Sr and Jeanette Anne Rose Madox Gibbs.  Daniel worked in the construction business.  He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Gainesboro, TN.

Survivors include his daughter: Lydia Gibbs of Gainesboro, TN; brother: Homer (Tammy Lyn) Dennis Gibbs Jr. of Gainesboro, TN. 

The family has chosen cremation.

Elmer C. B. Boles

Elmer C.B. Boles was born November 16, 1957, in Tompkinsville, KY, and he passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his residence in Celina, TN at the age of 66.

C.B. was the son of O.B. Boles and Donie Maggie Mae Key Boles. He retired from Robert Sysco Company where he worked as a warehouse specialist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Katherine Greer of Gainesboro, TN; son: Nathan Hill of Nashville, TN.

Survivors include his wife: Patsy Ann Mills; son: Michael Ware of Gainesboro, TN; daughter: Kestie Michelle Bottoms of Duck River, TN; brother: Thomas Greer of Gainesboro, TN; sisters: Sada (Brent) Gore of Livingston, TN and Betty Sue (Lonnie) Hill of Gainesboro, TN; grandchildren: Lani Bottoms, Melissa Quarles, Paige Ward, Robert Braswell, Buddy Blake, Terry Cockrill and Daniel Cockrill. Several great grandchildren and other relatives and friends also survive.

The family has chosen cremation at this time. Visitation will be on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 5 pm until 7 pm. Memorial Service was on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 7 pm in the chapel of Clay County Funeral Home in Celina, TN. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Celia Billingsley

Celia Ragland Billingsley, born April 1, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, to the late William Charlie Ragland and Celia Eliza Apple Ragland, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Celia was preceded in death by her husband:  Ernest L. Billinsley; grandson:  Kyle Daniel Billingsley; brothers:  Tom C. and James Ragland; sisters:  Sallie Brown, Lyda Taylor, Ruth McBroom, Clella Phillips, and Opal Dezbor.

Celia is survived by her loving children:  Daniel (Pat) Billingsley, and Patsy (Harold) Jones; grandchildren:  Adam Jones, Emily (Paul) Richardson, Thomas Billingsley, David Billingsley and Kristen Bailey; great-grandchildren:  Jacobey King, Ava Lynn Billingsley and Maddox Bailey, Gabby and Liam Billingsley, and Richardson, Claire, Hailey, and Ethan Richardson.  Also, she is survived by  sister:  Bobbie (Arlon) Chaffin; and brother:  Charles (Shelby) Ragland; sister-in-law:  Juanita Gross; as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Celia was a faithful member of the Oneida Church of Christ, working beside her late husband, as he served over 50 years as an elder; taught Sunday School and VBS programs, and worked as a past librarian for the church.  She was the bookkeeper for Oneida Wood Industries and Scott Service Center for 46 years.  She was a member of the Oneida Homemaker Club for over 30 years, charter member of the Scott County Hospital Auxiliary, volunteer at the Oneida Nursing Home beauty shop, and the Oneida Elementary School reading program.

Friends visited with the Billingsley family on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at the Oneida Church of Christ (100 South Cross Street, Oneida, TN 37841) with John T. Polk II officiating.

Committal services were conducted on Monday, March 4, 2024, at time 11:00 a.m. (central time) at the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery (800 W. Jackson Street, Cookeville, TN  38501) with Clarence DeLoach officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband.

Nancy Ann Naff Quarles

With great sorry and sadness, Nancy Ann Naff Quarles, age 79, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, March 5th, 2023. She was born on April 14, 1944, in Cookeville, Tennessee. Married to the late John Randolph “Randy” Quarles, she was an avid caring animal lover, who worked at the Roane County Animal Shelter for several years. She was actively working one or two days a week at the Roane County Courthouse until the day she passed. She loved spending time with family and friends and was always the life of the party as she laughed “BIG”!! She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Angela Gibson, and Darby Shannon Hall, two nephews, Cameron Trent Kaiser and Nathan Aaron Kaiser. Arrangements are to come.
