Roy Lee Weaver

Roy Lee Weaver, 67, of Haydenburg, passed away March 27 at his residence. No services are scheduled at this time.

He was born April 8, 1954 in Tampa, FL. He was an electrician.

He was the son of Emerson Grant Weaver and Phyllis Jane Thompson Weaver.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Patricia Ann Hurlburt Weaver.

Shanna Dee Morris

Shanna Dee Morris, 49, passed away March 27 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time.

She was born Feb. 19, 1973 in Gainesboro.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Hershel Morris and Brenda Morris; brother, James Fields; and sister, Shawn McPherson.

Surviving relatives include: children, Jessica (Jacob) Smith of Carthage, Jordan (Ryan) Steele, Jillian (Nick) Seiber, Josie Steele and Joseph Steele, all of Dayton, Ohio; father of her children, Steven Steele of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, Shane Morris of Cookeville and Hershel Morris of Gainesboro; sister, Genedith Deebanks of Franklin, Ky.; and grandchildren, Jaxon Smith, Rylee Gruber and Rylan Gruber.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James E. Thiel

James E. Thiel, 79, of Cookeville, passed away March 20 at his home.

He was born Dec. 16, 1942 in Rockford, Ill.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Gerald H. Thiel and Jeannett L. Thiel; first wife, Ann Thiel; daughters, Tia Clay and Tanya Thiel; son, Rod Thiel; and sister, Carolyn Scott.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Carolyn Stockton Thiel; daughter, Tisha Hendricks; son, Romily (Annie) Thiel; granddaughter, Sachi Hendricks; grandson, Brandon Hendricks; sisters, Judy Larke and Kathy Sanders; stepdaughters, Martha Alford, Margaret Itoney, Elizabeth Stockton, Sara Stockton and Anne Garrett; grandsons, Max Garrett, Zachary Itoney, Travis (Lily) Alford and Harrison Alford; granddaughters, Sarah E. Alford and Mira Itoney.

The family is grateful for the help of special aide, Ronald Fenn.

Betty June Clay

Betty June Clay, 88, passed away March 27. Funeral services were held April 1 at New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Morgan officiating.

She was born March 20, 1934.

She was preceded in death by: husbands, Samuel Clay and Robert Stacy.

Surviving relatives include: children, Sandra (Martin) Hudenko, Daryl (Bonnie) Stacy and Cheryl (Robert) Childs; grrandchildren, Benjamin, Robert, Kristen (Seth), Daryl Shane, Kyle, Neil (Gordy) and Nikki; and great grandchildren, Adaline and Henry.

James Dean Allen

James Dean Allen, better known as "Bo", 53, passed away March 30 in Gainesboro. Graveside services were held April 3 at the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community with Pastor Jim Short officiating.

He was born April 10, 1968 in Chicago, Ill. He worked in construction and was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Joe Earl Allen and Linda Fay Murphy; and sister, Tammy Allen Richardson.

Surviving relatives include: sons, Brayden James Allen of Ill. and Bryson Dean Allen of Colo.; daughter, Bridget Allen; brothers, Kenneth Earl (Tammy) Allen of Cookeville and Gary Dale (Karen) Allen of Cookeville; and sister, Pamela (Steve) Trisdale of Baxter.
