Pray4TN Event Held On Jackson County Square

Posted

Organizers of a movement across the state that invites community members to gather and “Pray4TN” noted their 60th stop at the Jackson County Court Square in downtown Gainesboro was “extra special.” As of Thursday, July 18, pray for Tennessee organizers have hosted events in 60 of the state’s 95 counties. More stops are planned throughout the end of the month.

Jackson County Mayor Randy Heady, State Rep. Michael Hale, alongside his wife, and community members joined State Rep. Monty Fritts Thursday to ask “everyone to repent with him so God will hear from heaven.

Organizers noted that the stop in Jackson County was extra special because Rep. Hale has had to deal with health issues this year.

“So you can see he is committed to prayer to our Lord when he speaks out the power of turning to Jesus,” Pray4TN organizers noted on their social media page. Mayor Heady was anointed with oil and all who attended gathered around him as well to pray for his healing and for his wife to be strengthened for his upcoming scans and tests. Local pastors helped lead the prayers that day.

House Joint Resolution 0803 was passed by the 113th Tennessee General Assembly earlier this year and signed into law by Gov. Bill Lee in April. HJR 803 designates “the period of July 1, 2024, through July 31, 2024, as a time of prayer and fasting in Tennessee and seeks God’s hand of mercy healing on Tennessee.”

The legislation was sponsored by Rep. Fritts.
