Winter Wallop

After having close to record breaking warm temperatures in the month of December and several rounds of severe weather, mother nature has turned the heat off in the new year as Jackson county has received two significant snowfalls the week of Jan. 2. The first snowfall fell overnight Sunday, Jan. 2 into early Jan. 3. Some parts of the county received upwards of eight inches of a heavy wet snow that caused power outages through out the county.
